We converted the bonus space on the top floor of this semi-detached, 4-story inner city home from a dated bedroom to a stylish and functional family room using budget friendly selections that would not compromise our client’s design choices.

We were thrilled to assist them in achieving their design aesthetic, improving the functionality of the space and creating an environment the entire family can enjoy.

Inner-city Eclectic Family Room — Bold, patterned tiles on the fireplace and a brightly-colored patterned rug offset the high, angled walls and solid-colored fabrics of the furniture.

Innercity Eclectic Family Room — Custom patio doors exit onto a gorgeous private 3rd floor balcony. The custom-made sofa by Whittaker Furniture is perfect for visiting, curling up to read or enjoying family game nights.

Inner City Eclectic Living Room — Hunter Douglas shutters adjust to allow the perfect amount of light, depending on mood and activity.

Inner-city Eclectic Family Room — We paired custom furniture with items the famliy already owned to create a stylish, functional and comfortable space.

Inner-city Eclectic Family Room — To maximize use of the space, we paired a breakfast dining set with the wet bar at the end of the room. Perfect for guests, and for enjoying the space at any time of day and for any occassion.

Inner-city Eclectic Family Room — A quartz countertop, subway tile backsplash and glass doors on the wet bar cupboards present a clean, streamlined look that is beautifully offset by the copper and gold-toned glassware.

Crescent Heights Great Room

This inner-city Calgarian family wanted to create a look that incorporated their love of vintage, modern and texture. This is their only living area, so an oversized comfy leather sofa for the family to curl up on was very important. The reflective funky metallic retro wallpaper pulled everything they owned, and new purchases together to create a very warm and collected small great room in this 425 square foot main floor. We incorporated a ton of budget lighting to create atmosphere, zones and to be used for various functions. We incorporated their wall art, sculptural & glass, and old book collections in this small space.
