Upper Mount Royal Bedroom

January 29, 2013 by Sylvie Croteau-Willard

The inspiration for this bright master bedroom was a set of bold Jonathan Adler bedding that belonged to the clients. After they splurged on the set, we needed to set the scene for this colourful comforter. The soft green wall colour served as our backdrop, allowing us to layer colour and texture to create a quirky, vintage-inspired retreat. We used the clients’ existing artwork to make sure that their personalities came through in the design. Keeping with the pretty palette from the textiles, custom drapery panels were hung to draw the eye up, maximizing the drama of the large window. In this small bedroom, creating additional storage was a necessity- a custom window bench was installed to hide clutter.
